Fighting her way through the rout, Maya attempts to find her husband Marcus only to be knocked out and sent to safety by her friend Alexandra. Marcus is missing and presumed dead.

We learn that in his final moments Marcus beheld the spirits of the dead being collected by Troika. Marcus chooses to fight back.
